It’s ‘One Glorious Day,’ the new and very ‘■original l/'aramount picture. For sheer novelty, humour, skilful dramatic touches, and marvellous mechanical effects this picture is unsurpassed. The final scenes carry one through the heavens, whole a spirit “Ek,” is introduced. Ek is tireu of waiting his turn to come to earth, so decides to take French leave. He arrives in a small town where a very timid professor is about,to be elected mayor. This professor goes into a spiritualistic trance and whilst his spirit is absent from his body Ek appears and steals it. The other star is “The Bonnie Brier Bush.” featuring Donald Crisp. The management announces this as one of the finest atraclions shown for some time.

BRUNNER SCHOOL. In the above school on hi’iday next February 2nd the Peerless Pictures will make their initial appearance. A first class programme lias been selected comprising a five-reel L’aramount, a 2-reel comedy with Roseto Arbuckle and the latest Gazettes. The main feature is “Ducks and Drakes” starring Bebe Daniels. Aliss Daniels has the role of an irrepressible young heiress, who almost drives her guardian to distraction by her habit of calling random numbers on the telephone, and flirting with all the. pleas-ant-sounding masculine voices that answer her. The young woman has a fiance, and he, too, knows about her wire flirtations. Unlike the chaperon, however, he is far from distracted about it. Being an efficient young business man, he merely applies business efficiency to the problem, and cures her of her bad habit by the simple expedient of enlisting the aid of his men friends. The final fade-out reveals a contrite and very demuro little bride, who vows that one man will be enough to make her happy for the rest of her days.
