SOME BIG WINNERS. (Special to “Star”). CHRISTCHURCH, June 26. Mr. G. D. Greenwood lias had many ood seasons since he commenced racing, but none to equal the record ho as established during the season now Irawing to a close. The winnings ol lis team in New Zealand alone this season total £15,145, which is second only to the £17,224 secured by Mr. f. H. Lowry in 1915-16, when Dcserc Gold, then a three-yaer-old, earned about half the stable total. Mr. Greenwood had nine horses in the money this season. Gloaming topping the list with £5760. while Pluto won £2950, Farceur £2400. Vespucci £2175, Egotism £lO7O. Tressar £420, Veil £2OO, Cupidon £l5O and Valdao £4O. Sir George JCliff ord’s team has won £11.362 in stakes this season, and the prospects are that his total will yet be increased as he lias two horses engaged at Trentham next nicinth. Winning Hit has been the star performer of the stable, his earnings amounting to £4780, while ten other horses have assisted. Scrimmage winning £1430, Whipping Boy £1205, Angelo £ll2O, Triermain £BO5, Red Hind £715, Counterstroke £495. Purple Spur £237, Dame Straitlace £215. Giant Killer £2lO and Brave Deed £l5O. For three seasons in succession Mr. W. R. Kemball has topped the ten thousand mark. His total for this season, with the Wellington meeting still to be taken into consideration, is £10,706 10s, made up of earnings of eighteen horses. Trespass secured £2905, Bonetter £1320. Gladful £l2/5, Vagabond £960. Bumptious £945, Missgold £915, Martian Miss £630, Vasilkov £595.

Air. A. B. M ill jams lias won over £BOOO in stakes with his team this season. Epitaph being responsible for £4200.

The Douglas Estate won £11,430 in stakes last season, and though the present season has not been so successful, the stable has gathered in £6320.
