DAVIS CUP PLAYERS? (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, June 24. Anderson and O’Hara Wood (Australia) beat Washer and Watson (Belgium) 6—l, 6—2, 4—6, 7—9, 7 Australia thus wins the round. At the tennis contests Anderson beat Washer (Belgium), 6/4, 6/3 6/2. The fifth match was abandoned. Anderson was never extended. He placed splendidly. The match c< i sostcd mostly of hard driving frmi the base lines, neither attempting much volleying. After the cup contests Paterson and O’Hara-Wood beat Washer and Watson in exhibition doubles, 6/2, 6/3, 6/2.
