11. -was reported some, days ago tnat certain premises in Revell fetreet had been entered ami thefts committed. The .matter was kept quiet in order to discover lhe culprits. A sequel to this was the appearance before Air H. Al. Coulson, J.D., on Tuesday afternoon of two lads chai ged with breaking and inteiing the premises of AV. Westbrook, confectioner, .Revell Street on February 20, ami stealing therefrom the sum ot £l5. On the application of the police accused were remanded till March 30, to appear before the S.AI. Yesterday morning before Air 1). J. Evans, J.P., another/ lad was similarly charged. Bail was allowed each in £25 and one surety of £25.

To-morrow night the Borough Council will consider applications for the position of gardener and caretaker of Cass Square. Considerable interest is being taken in the appointment.
