s beg to submit my monthly report on the 1 schools’ agricultural work in the Westland - District for the mouth of FebruaryMarch. The appearance of the plots after i the summer vacation is somewhat disap- - pointing, as the weeds have generally J taken possession. The outside work for • the month has been a- general tidying up, , with here and there a little harvesting. ■ During my visit I have tried to get and give reasons for failure, and have made suggestions for improvement. From what I have seen up to the jiresent I judge that the potato crop will be somewhat dis- ■ appointing. 'This is mainly due to the very >vei season..’’
