A London cable message states that Canon Percival Stacey Wadcly has been appointed Anglican Archdeacon of Palestine. Messrs Pithcaithly and Dalgleish, school inspectors, are on an official visit to Westport. Mr. Mountfold, instructor in physical culture, is also visiting Westport. The Rev. Father Murphy, who has been the guest, of the Rev. Father Long, Adm., left by to-day's express on his way to Harwarden. Miss AI. G. O Connor, who took a leading part in the Irish National Concert, returned to Christchurch by this morning’s express Mr. Phil Jones remains until Tuesday.
