KAURI TIMBER COMPANY. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 1. The report of the reconstructed Kauri Timber Company, covering its operations to August 31, shows a profit of £93,116 sterling. A dividend of 8 per cent., which includes an interim dividend, has been declared. The sum of twenty thousand is added to the dividend equalisation account and £13,116 carried forward. HIDES MARKET. MELBOURNE, Dec. 2. Hides are weaker and competition is irregular. and thev have declined a farthing. Kips declined a half-penny all round. METAL MARKET. ’ LONDON, Dec. 1. Copper £67 3s 9d and £6B Is 6d. Lead £26 and £25 15s. Spelter £26 10s and £27. Tin £163 6s 3d and £165 4s. Silver is 37fd. C.E.M. CO.’s REPORT. (Special to the Star.) CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 2. The annual report of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company states that the net profit for the year was £37,939, which, with the amount brought forward, makes the amount at credit of profit and loss account £43,344. Out of this, further additions have been made to the reserve funds, and after deducting the dividend paid for the halt year, there remains £19,775, which the directors propose to be dealt with as follow Payment of a further dividend of 3 per cent on preference shares, and 6 per cent, on ordinary shares, making 6 per cent, and 10 per cent, respectively for the year, £9750, payment of bonus of 4 per cent, on the ordinary shares £4500, carry forward £5525.
