OLD BOY'S BALL

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. The Old Boys’ Association have every reason to be satisfied with the result of this year’s ball; it was a great success. f The attendance was good, the floor and music fiist-class, and the supper arrangements efficiently carried out. The Ladies’ Committee and the General Committee are to be congratulated on the resuit of their energetic preparations. The floor was pre- m 'pared by Air G. Bidgood. The orchestra was under the control of Air A\. AVilliams, and Mr E. Nelson acted as M.C. The hall was decorated with flags, etc., and the ( flmal adornment of the supper tables was very pleasing. The Ladies’ Committee 1 consisted of Mesdames Lindop, Rngg, Schroder, Seebeck, Brown. Parfitt, Earl, AA’atson, Collins, G. Schaef. Smith, Phillips, and Misses Parfitt, Clark, and Lindop. The ball was honoured by the presence of the Hon. G. J. Anderson and ' party. Among those present were Mesdames G. 1 Schaef, black georgette ; T. The gentlemen present included Hon. G. J. Anderson, Hou. J. Grimmond, M.L.I'., Messrs T. E. Y. Seddop, M.P., J. 1). Lynch, F. M. Sherwood, Coates, Coburn, Skoglund, Cunliffe, Boucher, G. Schaef, Hessell. Bush, Cowan, Kyngdon, Taylor, Fletcher, Tillyshort, Kear, Ale Kain, Parfitt (2), Batty, Phillips, Thoi-py, Trouland, Nelson, Collins, Rose, McLean, McKenny, AVeaver, Orr, Ryan, Holmes, Bidgood, Reid, Sotheran, Gilmour, Pritchard, McKeehnie, Mullins, Kerr and Beatty. A large number took part in a euchre tournament during the evening, the prizewinners being Gents : Air J. Barber 1, ~ Air Hodge 2. Ladies : Airs De Freitas 1, Airs Rothwell 2.
