ANNUAL MEETING.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS,

The annual meeting of the Giey Defence Rifle Club was held on Thursday night, when the following officers were elected:

Patron: Mr. G. T. Moss. Vice Patrons: Messrs J. D. Lynch, J. Tennent, E. J. Smith, T. Jones, G. Peroiti, V. L. Armstrong, D. Tennent, Drs McKay, Mcßrearty and Johnston, Major Simeon and Capt. Colclougn. Mr. F. Stent was elected President and Mr. C. Richardson Vice-Presi-dent. The election of Secretary was held over anil a further meeting. Auditors; Messrs E. M oss and J. McKay. Committee: Messrs F. Smith, W. Kyle, Hill and Excel!.After the business was completed Mr. Stent (President) presented the following prizes to last year’s winners:—Championship and Patron’s Trophy: Rifleman C. Richardson. Aggregate Championship and Patron’s Trophy number two: Rifleman E. Moss. The Neil Lawson Trophy was won by Rifleman F. Stent and the J. Kyle Trophy was won by the donor and presented to Neil Lawson, he being runner-up. The Bromley Memorial Belt was won by Rifleman J as. Kyle for the second year. A lady’s bangle, presented by the Wednesday shooters was won by their popular sport, Rifleman Eric Moss. The shooting season will be opened very soon and three trophies 'have been kindly offered by the patron Mr. G. T.' Moss, Mr.. A. E. Kilgour and Mr. John. Tennent. • '
