COOK OVERBOARD. GISBORNE, This day,—The voyage of the schooner Huddersfield from Sydney occupied twenty-five days. The vessel hove to in rough weather for live days. The cook was washed overboard but, fortunately, clung on to a rope and was washed back on to the deck in a succeeding wave. v SUPREME COURT. TIMARU, This Day.—At the Supreme Court to-.day William Oswald Rooncy and Allan McLean Rudge, who in the Magistrate's Court pleaded guilty to seven charges of breaking and entering and theft at Timaru, came up for sentence. They were granted probation for three years on the first charge and ordered to come up for sentence on the other charges, and to compensate the owners for the propertj not recovered.
