LOCO MEN
DRAFT AGREEMENT.
(Per Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, August 16. Delegates from the branches of the Toco 'Engineers, Firemen, and Cleaners' Association met in Wellington to-day to consider various matters, the most important being the draft agreement prepared by the Committee appointed by the Government after the recent strike. The • other two branches, the Railway Servants and the Railway Officsrs' Institute, have accepted the. recommendations made in their cases. Te E.C.F.A. has not yet accepted the terms fixed for them. Some of the branches are known to be opposed to their acceptance. This is on the ground that "the agreement does not concede some of their demands. The conference, which represents the loco men throughout New Zealand will decide whether or not the agreement shall be accepted. The delegates did not complete their deliberations to-day. They will, meet again tomorrow. •
