REV. A.A. MURRAY

—<jjj>DISCIPLINARY ACTION. AUCKLAND, August 10. The Auckland Presbytery to-night decided : "That it suspend the Rev. A. A. Murray from exercising the rights and privileges of a minister ef the Presbyterian Church of New Zea land, and dissolves the pastoral between him . and the St. Andrew's Church."' The committee which reported on the subject to the Presbytery stated that, for nearly a year, it had borne with Mr. Murray in the hope that he would take the honourable course, and resign, but Mr. Murray had determined to remain a minister of the Presbyterian Church in spite of his declared disbelief in her doctrine and practice in the matter of bantism, and of his refusal to baptise children of members of the Church'. He had thus forced his brethren to discipline him.
