AUCKLAND, This day

Alexander Ellis (17) son of IT. J. Ellis, headmaster, Now Lynn school, fell from a railway carriage platform, or while attempting to board a train. The first intimation of the fatality was a jarring noise as the carriage passed over the body. The train quickly stopped. Botli legs and both arms were severed. The ambulance was sent for but the lad died at the station before he could be removed. The deceased was employed as a law clerk.
