MOTOR FATALITY
A DANGEROUS PASTIME. CORONER '~COMMENT. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. At the inquest on Davis Peter Finn,. who died of injuries received in motor-cycle racing- on Monday, evidence was given that the track had not been specially prepared, but that it was in good order. , - The coroner, Mr Wilson, S.M., said that this was the second inquest he had held on men killed while cycle racing. Percy Coleman, one of the competitors in the race with deceased, said that he overhauled deceased and brushed the latter's arm. This caused Finn's cycle to skid 1 . Witness was travelling at about 80 miles on hour and deceased at about 60 miles. The coroner.returned a verdict in accordance with the evidence. He commented on the exceedingly dangeroiis character of this sport, and added: "I cannot stop you yet. I have no power to do so, but if this- kind of thing continues I will have to stop you."
