WOOL CLIP. (Per Press Association.) DOTEDIi\ T , This Day. The Government valuations of the 3019-20 wool clip is practically finished. The clip is much shorter in staple and lower in. addition than the previous clip, less wool being yielded per sheep. It was estimated that there will he fully ten per cent, shortage. The North Island wools hear a bigger proportion of this shortage. The indications point to finer wools bringing exceptionally high

prices during the next few years, whilst it is doubtful whether the lower qualities will maintain the present valuations. FALL IN HIDES. A local commercial firm has received the following advice : (Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association ) SYDNEY. This day. Hides light, half-penny, pennv mediums dearer penny, two pence per lb lower.
