A MYSTERY OF THE SEA. WELLINGTON, This Day.— An Italian fisherman, Bartolo de Stifano, about ten days ago, picked up an open boat about a mile off Happy Valley. He towed the boat to island Bay. So far no owner of the craft has been found, and the police say that the matter is a mystery. The boat is fourteen feet long, painted blue outside and inside. LEVEL CROSSING ACCIDENT HAMILTON, This Day.—Barker Robinson, aged thirty, was riding' a motor cycle when lie crashed into a train at Claudelands crossing this morning. He was considerably injured and removed to tbe Waikato Hospital. It was found that bis leg was fractured and bis other leg, head and body were badly cut about.
