MIDDLE CLASS
- I pay my way at treble price Though bonus less, alas ! And yet my ways are mild and nice, Because I’m middle class. I walk, while Harry, Dick and Tom In costly motors pass, Their push I lack, and their aplomb, Because I’m middle class. I am the buffer of the StateSome say “a silly ass” For bowing humbly to my fate Because I’m middle class.
