THE MANUREWA CHILDREN’S HOME.
(To the Editor.) • Sir, —Some three years since you very kindly published a letter in which I appealed for used stamps to be sent to me for the furtherance of the work of this Home. The response has been extremely gratifying, and the stamps now handled by us approximate to a million a year. Those entail a lot of work in cleaning sorting, and maikcting, all of which has been done by Mr. E. C. Wiltshire, To' Awamutn, the net proceeds totalling nearly £IOO. So long as Mr. Wiltshire is willing and ho is still keen to help in this direction, we think the labour well worth while. We desire by means of this letter to increase the* interest, which the publication of our former letter aroused, and shall he grateful for your assistance towards this further publicity. Parcels of stamps' may ho sent direct to Mr. Wiltshire or to myselff and will be gratefully acknowledged. I should say that Mr. Wiltshire renders all services in this direction without fee or charge, this being his contribution to the work of the Home, in which he is very much interested. We are at present providing for 80 children. —I am etc., THOS. E. WHITTON. Secretary and Treasurer. Manurewa Children’s Home > P. 0. Box 386, Auckland.
