The maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 79 degrees, and tiie minimum 42 degrees. The barometer registered 29.74, and the thermometer 53 degrees. For the past month me. rainfall was 5.05 inches, compared with 8.53 inches for the corresponding month of last year. The rainfall for the jxist 24 hours was 0.12 inches. WEATHER REPORT. Greymouth.—Wind, north, fresh breeze ; barometer, 29.74 ; thermometer 58 degrees; tides, moderate; bar, considerable sea. WEATHER FORECAST. Tha indications are for westerly winds, strong to gale and backing by west to south. The weather appeal's likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Heavy rain is to be expected, with rivers flooded. The barometer lias a falling tendency, but lising after about 15 hours. Tides and sea increasing on the coast. "Probably tides good and sea very heavy.
