A SPORTING OFFER
X RAYS PLANT WANTED,
A sporting otter was made lo the Grey Hospital and Charitable Aid Board to-day by the medical supewn- ' tendent. Dr. Johnston. The X ray .apparatus at the hospital is by no- means modern and i 11e doctor said that he had already had offers of donations amounting to £9O towards the installation of a new apparatus. He added , that this would bear a Government subsidy and asked whether the Board would be agreeable to his collecting as much as possible for, this very necessary work. Mr. Irvine: I thing the Board',is agreeable to accept fall 'l nei money they can get. . : . " ''" It was decided on the motion of Mr. Cottle,; seconded by - Mr. Irvine that the matter of raising'funds should '.bo left in the hands of the Medical Superintendent. ■'■''■ It" wa,s also decided that the Public Health's Department x ray expert should report on the matter of'the plant.. • On the motion of Mr.- Skoglund at to-day's meeting of the Hospital ,Board it was.decided that an estimate should be submitted at the next, meeting for the Avork of retaining all rain -water at the hospital.
