CHAUTAUQUA.
(To the Editor. 1 Sir, —As one who had the privilege and pleasure of attending last night’s Chautauqua programme, 1 feel that Greymoutli cannot do better than guarantee that we shall get an, annual visit from an Dgaiiisation which puts within reach of everybody such a magnificent array of artists as that which graces the Chautauqua platform. There was not a man or woman who attended lastnight’s performance with all the discomforts of rain pouring in and lights going out, who did not feel that what had been heard repaid manifold the monetary outlay and the physical discomforts which attendance last night entailed. To hold a large audience enthralled under the circumstances was a magnificent feat, and yet Dr Giesel did all this and more. No community can afford to do without hearing such a woman, and the guarantors who made possible such a consummation are deserving of the siucerest thanks of the community.—l am, etc., A FUTURE GUARANTOR Greymoutli, Feb. 21, .1920.
