INANGAHUA TROTTING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. (Our Own Correspondent.) The annual meeting of the aoove was held in the Band Room, there bein# 45 members present, the President (Mr. H. T, Crumpton) being sn the chair.

The report and balance-sheet were submitted, the report giving a resume of the season’s proceedings, in which no meeting was held. The membership continued large, despite the fact that many had loft the district. Feeling reference was also made to the death of a former member and steward in Mr. W. Addison, who. was a victim to influenza. Tirol balancer sheet showed a balance to credit of £32 7s 6d, while the liabilities were put down at £73 11s. In moving that tho report nad bal-ance-sheet be read, Mr. A. Carroll congratulated the committee on their conduct of the Club during the year. Mr. Stallard seconded the motion, which was carried.

Messrs M. Fagan and A. Ferotti were appointed scrutineers to ■ the election of officers, which resided : President —Mr. B. P. McMahon. Vice-President —Mr. R. Lochore. Committee —Messrs 11. E. F. Lockington, J. Pasco©, J. O. Byrne, M. E. Powley, J. Fielding, A. Brooks, J. Thomas, F. Hawken, N. Collins, T. Galbraith, E. Black, J. Harris and P. Cohen. Mi*. Stapleton congratulated the Club upon the energy put *uto their meeting. He suggested that the .new committee keep the stakes as high as possible, and that no race on the nrogramme be- slower than 2.40 to th» mile. Mr. Lochore asked that the meeting give on opinion as to the stakes to be offered. He would like to see £6GO given for a one day’s programme. Mr. Lockington asked if tlie Reefton Jockey Club would bo agreeable to have the day’s trotting sandwiched cbtween their days of racing.
