PARISH GATHERING.

A Children’s Picnic and Parish Gathering is to be held in the Catholic Prebytery Grounds at Ahaura on Saturday next, November 2j in honour of His Lordship Bishop Brodie’s visit to the parish, and will doubtless be a great success. The day wilPße a memorable one, and given fine weather, the event will be the most pleasant ever held at Ahaura. Refreshments are to be provided on the grounds by the ladies’ committee and excellent prizes have been secured for the children. During th afternoon short addresses will be given by His Lordship the Bishop, Rev. Father Aubrey (Greymouth'), Rev. Father Eooloton (Reefton). and Mr. M. Malone, of Taylorville.
