i /Private advice has been received in town of the death of Mr Arthur Bunny, Crown Prosecutor, of Masterton. ; A Wellington. Press message states that Charles William Adams, formerly Chief Surveyor and Commissioner of Crown Lands in Marlborough died yesterday at the Hutt; aged 78. He was a native of Tasmania, and settled in New Zealand in 1862, when he joined the Survey Department. He retired in ,1904. His two sons dre Dr C. F,. Adams, Government astronomer, Wellington arid Arthur Adams, journalist, Sydney.
