The loading - German newspapers show a. striking unanimity in criticising President Wilson’s terms. Even tli© Tageblatt, Yorwaerts, and tip,' Frankfurter Zeitung declare them unreasonable, asserting that President Wilson has dropped the role of mediator and has become dictatorial and ruthless.
The pan-German organs violently demand <a military dictatorship. The Kreuz Zeitung says: President. Wilson wants to annihilate us. Let us rally round the Kaiser and defend him against enemies at homo and abroad.

The greatest interest is being manifested in the State Department and in other official circles over the press dispatches saying that Germany has accepted President Wilson's: decision. ’Hie reports, however, are received with reserve.
It is pointed out, in well-informed circles., that the rumour might h° inspired by the German Government pu order adversely to. affect the fourth Liberty Loan. Opinion is divided

The London Daily Chronicle’s Amsterdam! correspondent says: A neutral who has arrived here from Germany states it is not an exaggeration to say that Germany is now forced to the alternative of peace or revolution.

The Berlin correspondent of a pro-German Swedish journal describes an intervie w he had with Dr. Soir (German Foreign and Colonial Minister) on the Ibth of October (Sunday last). It was before Dr. Saif desp atched the German reply to President Wilson.
Dr. Solf expressed the hope that an honourable peace- would lie obtained- He added : We must admire. our soldiers for what they have done, but we cannot admire our diplomats’ share in the war.
