Tho Butter and Cheese Committee will moot tho Prime Minister shortly, when final arrangements for the disposal of butter and cheese to tho Imperial Government will be concluded. SUPPOSED DROWNING FATALITY AUCKLAND, This Day.—Details of a supposed drowning fatality are reported from Matakana. Frank Witten and his son Frank put out from Matakana beach in a boat on Wednesday night with cream to be put on a steamer bound from the wharf to Auckland. They did not return and search was made during the night. Early on Tuesday morning the boat was found upturned »t the lower end of one of the numerous inlets on tne coast. There was no trace of the occupants. Witten was the cousin of Mr. Gunson, Mayor of Auckland. He has seven children.
