POSITION AT NOON. The count at noon today revealed the position of the candidates for the Carnival Queen to be as follows : No. 4—Business People (red ancr pme), Miss Smith. No. s—Shipping, Timber, Banks and Government Offices, etc. (red, white and blue), Miss C. Hopkins. No. 3—Railway, Foundry, Etc. (red and green), Miss Lowe. No. I—Combined Schools (blue and white), Miss Russell. No. 2—Farmers (black and white). Miss Baybutt. Mr Kitchingliam’s £5 won by Shipping. The Trail has now reached Paroa.
