WARDEN'S COURT, GREYMOUTH.
MONDAY, JULY 22nd, 1818. (Before Mr. T. Hutchison, S.r>l.) William John Mcllroy made nppiication for certificates of production relating to certain licenses in connection with water races and dams. The Minister having consented, the application for protection was granted for twelve months, as from July 2nd. John Fred and Hans Rasmussen applied for extension of time for survey of 50 acres at River Yiew. —Three months allowed. The Midland Sawmilling Coy., Ltd., made application for a certificate ol protection over stated reservations and sawmills. —Referred to the Minister. An application from the Hochstetler Gold Fields, Ltd., for extension of time for purpose of survey of claim in German Gully was approved, tlie time allowed being three months. George B. Mclnroe, Ikamatua, (Mr. Coates) sued J. D. Lynch (Grey) for cancellation of sawmill license and two reservation areas. Defendant did not appear, whereupon cancellation was decreed, with provision that plaintiff should not sue for costs.
