The maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 57 degrees, and the minimum 34. The barometer registered 23.61in5., and the thermometer 35 degrees. The rainfall for the last month was 9.82 inches, compared with 9.45 inches for the corresponding month last year. The rainfall for the past 24 hours was O.GOins. WEATHER REPORT. Oreymouth—Wind, east, fresh breeze barometer, 29.61 degrees; tides, poor; bar, rough. Westport.— Wind, south, light breeze ; barometer, 29.57; tides, normal ; bar, rough. WEATHER FORECAST. The indications are for southerly winds, strong to gale. Rain probable and snow on high country. There will probably be a hard frost to-night. The barometer has a rising tendency. Sea very heavy and tides good.
