DUBLIN CORPORATION’S PROTEST.
CONSCRIPTION TO BE ENFORCED (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association'.) LONDON, April 9. It is understood that the Government has decided that conscription in Ireland must be enforced in view of the heavy sacrifices asked ’of the rest of Britain. There is no question of a bargain regarding Home Rule, although the Government hope' that a Bill on theories) of the Convention s report will assist in the acceptance of conscription. A meeting - of the Dublin Corporation, by 38 votes to three, adopted a resolution warning the Government of ilie- disastrous results of any attempt to force conscription on- Ireland, which was an insane proposal and would be resisted in eveiy town -and village in the country.
