ARAHURA STOCK REPORT. At the above yards yesterday the yarding comprised 84 head of very prime cattle, probably the best all round yarding for quality seen at Arahura for very many years. Though competition was keen for all lots, nevertheless juices showed a slight falling off. G. W. Moss and Co. sold on account of Private William Smith (on active service) : Two prime bullocks at £23. two at £22 2s 6d. two at #22 two at £2l 7s 6d, two at £2O 17s 6d, two at £2O 12s 6d, two at £2O 10s two at £2O, two at £l9 12s 6d three prime heifers at £l4 7s 6d. W. Jeffries and Co. sold on account, of "Messrs A. and T. Mcßride: Nineteen bullocks from £ls 15s to £26 15s ; four heifers at £l2 7s 6d. On account of Mr F. Williams: Thirty bullocks from £l3 to £l7 15s ; three heifers from £ll 15s In £l7 10s • five cows from £ll 15s to £ls 15s. 'A BUTTER DEAL. MELBOURNE, October 8. R{. Hon. W- M- Hughes has completed a butler deal with Britain for purchases of 00.000 lons at 151 a per-ewt f.o.b. for first grade, and Is less for each lower grade. The deal involves £'-!,- 500.000. _____
