WELLINGTON, This Day.
War conditions are responsible for the suspension of tin; Labor Department’s monthly journal, and Hie Minister of Education (Hon. <L A. Hainan) announces that it will be necessary to curtail the issue of the “School Journal,” because the shortage of paper renders it necessary to conserve supplies, in order to ensure continued publication in diminished numbers- “ Any such step ] view with regret,” remarked the Minister, “for 1 recognise that the ‘Journal’ has an educational value not possessed by ordinary reading books, which cannot provide up-to-date reading matter on current events 1 .
