Gonrlav (treasurer), A. Wbhr.mson S. Cnmining; A. Mead over ft. .1. p.,-lr s P. Brady, Fred Wolstenholun \V. Aitken (drum-major). and A, J. Riculiford (custodian). ’ It was decided at the meeting fo invite Mr A deary, c.h.et enfrineer of the Blackball Coal Company's mines, to take charge of the baton, ami 1 hear he has decided to do so. Mr A :c----arv has had a long exnorieiico in iimscal matters; he has a splendid record as a performer in the Homeland, and has bee>i at various times a member of the nl- - Bands at Home; hirst Royal Garrison Artillery, Liverpool, Leyland Alditary Band Lyric Orelieslra, and Gravesend Town Orchestra. The, Committee has arranged fur the secretary to have a. roll call at each practice. This was brought about by the kind literal tv of Dr Telford ami Airs Campbell, wiij mi me forward with two gold medi.ls each f :>■ regular altendauce of members, ami also for the most improved player in the learners’ class. This is good encouragement for the young players to go in for plenty of practice. If the weather permits, it is the intention of the Band to play a programme of music on the Domain next Sunday afternoon, and also at Roa on the following Sunday. Arrangements are in hand to engage Mamll's Hall to hold a grand ball on an early date, and it is hoped to make, it the *».!! of the season,
