The Australian Light Horse and Mounted Yeomanry are constantly harrying the enemy at Gaza, taking prisoners almost daily, 429 being captured in minor encounters in April- Aircraft were al«o active, reconnoitring and bombing troops and lines of communication-
The British artillery were most effective, scoring' many direct hit's on the enemy's guns, blowing" up munition dumps, ammunition stores, the latter exploding with vast detonation, being heard for miles.
