WELLINGTON, Tins DayJudge Sim allowed an appeal by Oliver Hoakes against Ins conviction and sentence of eleven months’ imprisonment on a charge of making an utterance intended to interfere with the unloading of the steamer WestraliaHis Honor expressed the opinion that the remarks in qnestioip were spoken without the intention of influencing' the conduct of another waterside Avprker, hut merely expressed disapproval of liis conduct in connection with the whole of the engagement. The appeal was allowed and the information dismissed-
