The authorities have intimated that the results of the ballots 1 will in future be announced in the daytime, not, as hitherto, alternately in the morning and evening papers. The only reason given so far is the inconvenience to the Government Printing Office.

C'A in NET’S CLASSIFICATION. [l’or Press Association.! WELLINGTON, May 2. • Cabinet has decided on the following classification of Hie Second Division : Class A.—To comprise all men not Jess than 20 nor more than 4G years of ape who have no children. Class B.—To comprise all men not less than 20 nor more than 34 years of ape who have not more than two children, irrespective of age. Class C —To comprise all men not l ' : ’s than 36 nor more than 46 years of ape who have not more than two children, irrespective of age. Class D.—To comprise all men not I -ss than 20 nor more than 34 years of ape who have not more than four children, irrespective of ape. Class E.—To comprise all men not l r "c than 35 nor more than 46 years of ape who have not more than four children, irrespective of age. Class F.-—To comprise all men not less than 20 nor more than 4 6 vears of age who have more than four chdamp irrespective of age.
