THE SUN, The sun sets at 6.46 p.m. to-day and rises at 5.42 a.m. to-mojhow, THE MOON. The moon sets ,at .10.5 p.m. to-day and rises at 2.0 p.m. to-morrow. LOCAL REPORT. * The maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 72 degrees and the minimum 56 decrees. At 9 o'clock this morning the barometer registered 29.94 inches, and the thermometer 61 Sprees, The rainfall last month was S.SOin. on nine days, as compared with 8.21 on twelve days in Janwa", 1916. Rain has fallen on ten days this month, the total being 10.90 in. WEATHER REPORT. Greymomth.—Wind, south-west; moderate breeze ; barometer 29.94 ; thermometer, 61; tides, good; bar, considerable.
Westport.—Wind, south-west, light; barometer, 29.92; thermometer, 59; tides, moderate; bar, moderate. THE WEATHER. The indications are for southerly winds moderate to strong. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather with scattered showers. Barometer rising slowly. Tides good ; sea considerable, but decreasing.
