THE SUN. Tlie sun sets at 6.47 p.in. to-day anft rises .at 5.40 a.m. to-morrow. THE MOON. The moon sets at £.25 p.tii. to-day and rises at 1.3 p.rn. to-morrow. LOCAL REPORT. Tlie maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 70 degrees and the minimum 54' degrees. At S o’clock this morning the barometer registered 29.60 inches, and the thermometer 66 ■f> degrees. The rainfall last month was 5.60 in. on nine days, as compared with 8,21 on twelve days in J«inn <"•'*, 1916. Rain lias fallen on nine days this month, the total being 10.59 in. W EAT lIRR • REPORT. Greymouth.—Wind, east, moderate breeze ; barometer 2b.60 ; thermometer, 63 ; titles, good ; bar, moderate sen, Westport.- Wind, noith, light; barometer. 29.69 ; thermometer, 66 ; tides, moderate ; bar, moderate. . THE WEATHER. The indications are for 'westerly winds, strong to gale and backing by west to south. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Rain probable. The barometer lias a falling tendency, but rising shortly. Tides good ; sea heavy on tlie coast and increasing.
