ESSAY COMPETITION.

"THE ALL RED KOUTE."

Mr, Tom Pollard lias donated the sum of one guinea for an essay competition on the* "All Red Route," a picture which was shown at the matinee yesterday afternoon. The conditions are as follows 0 :—

1. The essay shall be written in school, nnder the supervision of a responsible teacher, between the hours of 10 and 12 a.m. on Monday, the 25th inst. 2. It shall be the bona fide work of tlio competitor, and the use of notes or other similar aids are forbidden. 3. The head teacher of the school attended b,y a competitor shall guarantee the bona fides of each esay, by signing the bona fides of each essay, by signing livered to Mr. Pollard by 1 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
