CORRESPONDENCE. From W. B. Gilbert, Hon. Secretary '■of the West .Const Patriotic _ Association, in reply to the Association's enquiry, stating that no printed-- list of 'those in receipt of military pensions vva-fi yet available:—Received. From Corporal Sexton, conveying the thanks and appreciation of West Coasters in camp for the toilet outfit provided bv the Greymouth Ladies Guild. The outfit was splendidly designed and was jalwiays 'lon l^rvice"/.—Rec.f.vecb Frqtn J. W. Kinnebiuw, Secretary of the Nitional War Funds Council, stating that he would lie in Grevmonth shortly and would like to meet- members of the .association and discuss with them the control of the . funds hold by them. Mr. Kettle .asked whether it was not the case that the Association had decided to administer their own funds. Mr. McKay said that the matter had already been thrashed out. The Association would look after their own lijoney. There was too much red tape in the Government's part. In reply to it I'liijlier question Mr. McKay said thai wieli individual application for relief would have to go before the War Funds Council if the money were handed over to them. There would be considerable delay. Mr. Kettle said that no advantago would be (gained by mooting Mr. Kiunebury. ' Mr." McKay said that no harm could be done by hearing what he had to say. It was finally decided that the Secretary call a .special meeting' of the Association to meet Mr. Kiiinebnry on his

arrival. From the Minister of Defence,, stating that the provisions of the Military Ser- ' vice Act would be enforced strictly. The delay that had taken place was unavoidable. Summonses were now being issued and proceedings would be taken against all defaulters.—Received. Several applications for relief were*" considered and dealt with.
