THE SUN. , The sun sets at 6.56 p.m, to-day and rises at 5’.31 a.m. to-morrow. THE MOON. The moon sets at 6.31 p.m. to.-day and rises at 5.46 a.m..to-morrow. sLOCAL REPORT. The maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 75 degrees and .the mia> mum 54 degrees. At 9 o’clock this morning the barometer registered ' 30.28 inches, and the thermometer 62 degrees. The rainfall last month was 3.50 in. on nine days, as compared with 8.21 on' twelve days in JaiiMw*', .1916. Lain has fallen on eight days this month, the total being 10.40 in. WEATHER, REPORT. Westport —Wind, south, light; barometer, 30.20: thermometer 65 ; tides, high ; bar, smooth. Greymouth.—Wind, east, strong breeze ; barometer, 30.28 ; thermometer, 62 ; tides, moderate; bar, considerable swell. THE WEATHER. The indications are for south easterly winds, moderate to strong and freshening. The weather will probably prove squally and changeabe. Barometer unsteady. Sea heavy off shore and tides poor.
