McGIJRK.— Mrs E. McGurk, Cobden, mother. RIFLEMAN JOHN H. McGINN.—Mrs A. Small, Brunner, mother. SERIOUSLY ILL. PRIVATE A. Hi KING —R. W. King, Gibson Quay, Hokitika. WOUNDED. Mr. John Southward, of Runnnga, has received a cable from the military authorities in regard, to the wounds received by his son, Lieut. John Southward, staling that a. slight operation to the leg may be necessary, but the patient is doing well.

Mr James Nimmo, of Brunner, lias received wo d that his son, Torn, ha a been wounded in both legs .and in his head ( in Franco.

-Mrs Annie Contessa, 1 of Wellington, who is now on a visit to Oreymonth, has received advice from the Minister of Defence that her son, 11/142 Private ,T. ('. Con-tepsa, had been wounded on October 3rd. Private ConU-ssa, .who has done a good deal of lighting and went through the ■Gallipoli campaign, left the Dominion with the Sixth Reinforcements.
