OBITUARY
BERNARD MAGEE. News has been received in town that Bernard Magee died this morning at Lie Nazareth Home. Christchurch aged do years. The deceased was well known cn ' the West Coast, where ho spent oO >eais of his long life, and wa 6 a notable and popular figure in the Reefton and brnnner districts. For ten years he was caretaker of the Roman Catholic Church m - mouth, and in the early days kept an hotel at Nelson Creek. He was a widower his wife having died 25 years ago, and leaves the following three daughters and nine sons to mourn his death ; Mrs Cook (Runanga), Mrs Johnston (Anmdand). Mrs Flvnn (Auckland), Patrick (« .ivymonth), Thomas (Cohdcm), Anthony ,Rnmanga , Timothv (Kararnea). Laurence (Otago , John (Otago), Bernhard (postmaster m the North Island), Daniel (Cnlverden. near . Christchurch), and James (at the Trentham Camp). r<l ~ . , The body will arrive from Christchurch to-morrow 'night for interment m the Greymonth Cemetery.
