Mr. Scantlebury moved, .'Mr. Fagan seconded, and it was carried, that application be made to the Duendin Hospital Board for admission of D. Whitaker, with a view to his obtaining specialist eye treatment. Resolved that Sunderland Bros effect repair to sink in kitchen. The Medical superintendent's report was read and received. Mr. Fagan moved,' Air. Betts seconded, and it was carried, that its consideration be held over for a full meeting of the Board, at whici) Dr. Conlon and Matron Barry be invited to attend. Applications for the position of probationer Were received from Miss M. Heslop, Aliss Neville, and- Miss Mc Dermott, and on the motion of Air. Fagan, seconded by Air. Irving, Miss Neville was appointed. Doubt was ev presed as to Miss M. Heslop having completed her twentieth year. Tenders for the Nurse's Home, Waiuta, were received from A. Weils £7Bl 16s; and A. Cundy £Bll. On the motion of the chairman, seconded by Air. Fagan, the tender of A .Wells was accepted. No extension of time for completion to be granted unless- snactioned by the Board. The accounts were passed for payment and the business closed.
