COLLISION IN MD-AIR

THRILLING AVIATION DISASTER. [per press association—copyright.] PARIS, April 20. While M. Drove, M. Bloriot's chief pilot, was leading in an eliminating competition, M. Bidot, upon overtaking him, endeavoured to fly over him. He misjudged the distance as the sun was in his face and struck the tail, destroying the monoplane. Both machines lurched and fell, one over the other. Both aviators were pitched on their heads and incinerated. M. Bidot's passenger was extracted from the burning wreckage.
