Five small grazing runs totalling 13,640 acres along the Esk river, 30 miles from Napier, are to be opened en April 2nd, and 25,460 acres of pastoral country in the Ashburton and Mackenzie counties. The Hillesden estate of 79,000 acres is the largest land for settlement area to, be subdivided for a considerable period. It will he thrown open on March 2nd in 43 sections, ranging In sizes of 83 acres yich agricultural land to 10,000 acres of pas-, toral country. The estate lies 20 miles west of Blenheim, in the Wairau and Waitopai valleys and includes.some very good agricultural land.
