MATCH FOR DAWSON CUP. On the bowling given yesterday afternoon a most interesting game of bowls took place for (lie Dawson Cup between Messrs W. Claughesey, J. Chalk. E. J. Smith and T. Jones (skip), the holders of the Cup, and Messrs T. Fogarty, W. Mcllroy, W. Baxter and F. McCarthy (the challengers. The game throughout was witnessed by many members of the Bowling Club who took a great interest in the scores. At the iStii head the score stood 19 all, while at the 20th head McCarthy's rink were leading by eight, Jones' side securing two on the last head, the opposing link winning by six points after a most interesting and exciting game. The green was in good order and the play on both sides at times being above the average. i
