MILLERTON MINE

The mine manager reports that during the week the crosscut has been extended 15ft. The slow progress is accounted for by the fact that the country continues very hard. The drive has been let on contract at a satisfactory price. Work on the surface is being carried on ns expeditiously as possible, but the inclement weather is retarding operations a great deal. A commencement has been made with the formation of a road to the shaft side fyom the main road to allow easy access to the mine. A quantity of machinery has arrived and is now being conveyed to the mine.
