FORTY-SECOND ANNIVERSARY.

Yesterday afternoon there was a very

large attendance of children and parents j to celebrate the forty-third anniversary of the above school. £ Mr James Ring, the superintendent, £ remarked that during the 34 years he | had been connected with the school he I", had not seen so large a gathering. C The Rev. W. Trotter said how pleased y he was to meet the children on such an loccasion. He trusted that they would «il g. grow up better boys and girls for attend- } ing the school, but he would like to see them at least once a day in the * church, for there was nothing better on •' God’s earth to see parents taking their e child ron to the house of God on the Sab- *> bath. He was glad to learn that the C teachers had decided to give prizes for church attendance in the morning, commencing next Sunday.
