It is semi-officially stated that though Greece intimated in April that she intended strengthening her occupation of Leftera and elsewhere, and Bulgaria promised to withdraw, the latter attacked the Greek artillery when attempting to carry out the olan.

M. Sarafoff. the former Minister at Constantinople, is proceeding to Athens to negotiate in conjunction with the Bulgarian Minister fc:' an agreement delimit ing the frontier. The recent encounters were due to the Greeks attempting to occupy strategic points. Rmonstrances on the subject have been addressed to Greece.
